    PRODUCTION SUPERVISOR

    Job Summary

    Responsible for overseeing the production process, coordinating all production activities and operations. Ensuring that the production will be cost effective by monitoring Key Performance Indicators and implementing LEAN improvements to improve overall manufacturing efficiencies. The Production Supervisor leads a small group of staff in an organization characterized by highly transactional or repetitive processes; has authority for direct report personnel actions and oversees most day-to-day operations of his or her group.  Contributes to the development of processes and procedures for continual improvement efforts and measures. Thorough knowledge of functional area under supervision. 

    Essential Duties and Responsibilities

    • Works with Production Planner to schedule production, labor allocation, and overall responsibility.

    • Assists in manufacturing equipment change or setup (as needed).

    • Ensures quality assurance through collaboration with QA/QC in manufacturing.

    • Monitors and sustains quality testing on all manufacturing processes identified.

    • Coordinates with Innovation on product development efforts.

    • Ensures proper testing and re-work of any material deemed necessary by QA/QC.

    • Approves on required cadence all timesheets, PTO requests, training, and certifications.

    • Implements LEAN practices throughout the manufacturing process that are identified through data driven opportunities.

    • Leads team efforts to improve the overall operations of production.

    • Leads and exemplifies Quin Global culture to help propagate team mindset and growth.

    • Plans labor effectively against weekly requirements to increase team member efficiency and minimize overtime.

    • Improves methods and processes to increase productivity and quality while reducing costs.

    • Develops competent and skilled employees able to meet current and future needs of the organization.

    Education/Experience

    • B/S Degree in management, supply chain, business or manufacturing discipline preferred, or equivalent combination of experience and education.

    Supervisory Responsibility

    This position has supervisory responsibilities.

    Position Type/Expected Hours of Work

    This is a full-time position. Core days and hours of work are Monday through Thursday, 6:00 AM to 4:30 PM with possibly of scheduled Production overtime as approved by Operations Manager.

    Travel

    Travel may be expected up to 5% of the time for this position. Travel is primarily local during the business day, although some out-of-area and overnight travel may be expected on an as-needed basis.

    Work Environment

    This job operates in production manufacturing warehouse. May be required to wear common (PPE)Protective or Safety Equipment such as Safety Shoes, Glasses, Gloves, Hearing Protection.
