    OPERATIONS MANAGER

    Job Summary:

    This position will report to the Director of Operations and is responsible for overseeing the production process, coordinating all production activities and operations. You will be responsible for improving performance, productivity, efficiency and profitability through the implementation of effective methods and strategies. Responsible for strategic sourcing and procurement of goods and services for organization which aligns with organizational goals and objectives. You will manage a team of Supervisors and other direct reports. 

    Essential Duties and Responsibilities

    • Management and overseeing, and continually improve all operational aspects.

    • Leads production scheduling, labor allocation, and overall responsibility.

    • Assists in manufacturing equipment change or setup (as needed).

    • Coordinates with Innovation on product development efforts.

    • Implements LEAN practices throughout the manufacturing process that are identified through data driven opportunities.

    • Works with vendors to extend payment terms, without increasing total operating costs.

    • Ensures completion of annual supplier negotiations and/or new supplier selection.

    • Performs complex data analysis, report creation, monitor expenditures, and help to identify new sourcing strategies and other cost optimization opportunities to generate cost savings and financial improvements for organization.

    • Provides supplier performance analysis via supplier scorecards, ensuring customer and contractual requirements for cost, quality, and supply/service levels are met.

    • Ensuring all departments processes run smoothly and efficiently.

    • Implementation and management of quality and continuous improvement of systems.

    • Coordination of engineering improvements to production equipment and products with the engineering/R&D team.

    • Implementation, documentation, regular review, and continuous improvement of work procedures or processes.

    • Eliminate waste and increase efficiency.

    • Constant liaison with the leadership, sales and marketing, and R&D teams.

    • Regular review of employee performance and maintenance of an employee record.

    Education/Experience

    • B/S or B/A in Related degree, or equivalent experience preferred.
    • 5-7 years of leadership experience preferred
    • 5 Years of manufacturing experience preferred

    Supervisory Responsibility

    This position has supervisory responsibilities.

    Position Type/Expected Hours of Work

    This is a full-time position. Core days and hours of work are Monday through Friday, 7:30 AM to 4:30 PM

    Travel

    Travel may be expected up to 10% of the time for this position.

    Work Environment

    This job operates in production manufacturing warehouse. May be required to wear common (PPE)Protective or Safety Equipment such as Safety Shoes, Glasses, Gloves, Hearing Protection.
